Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Program Manager to join our IoT team. The ideal candidate will have a background as a program manager in technology with experience in managing multiple stakeholders in software delivery.
Bell’s IoT projects require managers and executives to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager, you will participate in leading several complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You will be participating in our strategic planning and communications to stakeholders. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects will often span across offices, between Montreal and Toronto, and it is your job to keep all the players coordinated on the business value creation, project's progress, budget and deadlines.

Major responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate delivery, operations, budget and planning for a program consisting of multiple engineering teams working on several IoT product value streams
• Provide visibility and present updates to management on program milestones, KPIs, risks and issues
• Work with internal engineering teams and external take-to-market organizations (Business Market) to provide technical feedback on product and feature definition, feasibility, scoping and development
• Evolve and establish best practices for technical program management, serving as a role model by demonstrating vision, leadership, integrity and superior business and personal ethics

Minimum qualifications:
• Experience in technology program management and project management
• Experience preparing business cases and funding requests
• Experience with people leadership and coaching a team
• Experience managing a capital budget
• Experience supporting strategic planning cycles in a large enterprise

Preferred qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in program management
• 5+ years of experience with software engineering
• 5+ years of experience shipping high quality online products or services in technology companies
• Proven track record of working in and/or with distributed engineering teams
• Prior experience with telecommunications companies is an asset
• Previous experience as a product owner/manager is an asset
• Experience with both waterfall and Scrum project methodologies
• Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
