Job Description
Regional Materials Project Manager III. 5 years’ experience in Telecommunications industry, with preferred experience in cell site Construction, materials management, or cell site design.
The Regional Materials Project Manager III (“PM”) is responsible for providing support for the primary objective of timely and accurate delivery of network infrastructure equipment for cell site Network Deployment for the South Engineering Region of T-Mobile. The PM supports and collaborates daily with the Regional Materials and Construction Team Lead and Managers for successful delivery of T-Mobile’s Materials and Network Build program objectives. The PM is primarily responsible for the following day-to-day recurring activities:
Primary Responsibilities
- Support Materials and Construction team in all areas of construction and materials programs to achieve goals of network deployment teams. Some of those support activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Reviews Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy
- Works with market teams to correct BOM inaccuracies
- Works with market teams to ensure BOMs are submitted on time to meet the needs of the network build pace
- Escalations for missing and backordered materials
- Long term Material Demand planning
- Utilization of any surplus and excess material as needed
- Regular status and progress updates for materials program
- Contributes to and supports T-Mobile’s Regional materials programs and business processes
- Contributes to and supports meetings with internal T-Mobile teams in the field, regional, and national functions to manage and resolve network deployment equipment issues
- Communicates and supports regional team goals and initiatives in Materials program
- Serves as Regional Support for Bill of Materials and Materials Process issues
- Additional responsibilities in materials/construction programs as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
- The Ideal candidate for the Regional Materials and Construction Project Manager III will demonstrate strong proficiency in the following areas:
- Understanding of construction and wireless development process and familiarity with pre-construction milestones
- Understands cell site construction drawings and its correlation to materials
- Material Demand planning
- Create and Review Bills of Materials for missing and backordered materials
- Construction Scheduling and planning
- Knowledge of telecom network infrastructure materials
- RF Diagrams and Information Sheets: (Able to create a Materials order using RF Design and existing site layout)
- Project Management Database/Tracking
- Telecom Equipment Order Management and tracking systems
- Able to identify project impacting critical issues and challenges, able to work with more senior members of the Project Management team to develop and implement successful solutions
- Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with all employee and management levels within the enterprise
- MS Excel: understanding and experience with Pivot Tables, charts, graphs, formulas
- Microsoft Suite of Tools (PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, Project, SharePoint)
- Resource require US citizenship
