RF Manager to support Small Cells Project, candidate must support Small Cell, PAG-RF & RFDS Project in parallel.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radio Frequency (RF) Manager to oversee critical aspects of our wireless network, with a primary focus on RF Design , E911 provisioning, Construction Close-Out Package Review, On-Air Support, transport topology and Performance Support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF engineering, wireless network operations, and a proven track record in managing network deployment projects and troubleshooting.

As an RF Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation, optimization, and performance of small cell networks, as well as facilitating the compliance of emergency services provisioning (E911) and supporting the overall efficiency of the wireless network.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage RF design:

• Develop link-budget for 4G/5G technology and validate it with field testing.
• Validate the penetration losses, and other calculations based on technology, freq. band and equipment.
• Coverage & Capacity predictions
• Experience on Planning tool e.g Atoll
• RFDS Creation & Scoping

1. E911 Provisioning:

• Oversee and manage the E911 provisioning process to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams and final customer, to ensure proper network configuration for accurate location-based emergency services.
• Maintain up-to-date communication with Development Team, ensuring timely updates and provisioning.

1. Construction Close-Out Package Review:

• Coordinate the review construction close-out packages for small cell deployments, ensuring that all documentation and installation work meets technical standards and regulatory compliance.
• Verify all field data, designs, and installation quality before approval of close-out packages.
• Liaise with construction and project management teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues in the close-out package.

1. Macro/Small Cell On-Air Support:

• Provide technical support and guidance for small cell sites transitioning from construction to operational status.
• Monitor and manage on-air status for newly deployed small cell sites, ensuring that all systems are functioning within optimal parameters.
• Work closely with field engineers and vendors to troubleshoot any issues during the small cell site activation process.

1. Macro/Small Cell Performance Optimization Support:

• Coordinate and manage the ongoing analysis of small cell network performance, including capacity, coverage, and quality metrics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to small cell networks, including interference, signal strength, and throughput.
• Work with RF optimization and operations teams to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
• 5G/LTE Parameters & features Knowledge ( Especially Nokia & Ericsson Products)

1. Collaboration & Communication:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, construction, and project management to ensure seamless deployment and operational performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding RF network issues related to small cell deployment and performance.
• Provide regular updates and reports on the status of small cell sites, E911 compliance, and performance metrics.

1. Compliance & Reporting:

• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for small cell performance and network reliability.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all performed activities.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance small cell deployment processes, network performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the network remains ahead of the curve.

Qualifications:

• Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in RF Planning & Optimization, network deployment, or a related field,
• T-Mobile previous experience is a must
• Proven experience in small cell network design, installation, and performance optimization.
• Experience reviewing construction close-out packages and ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in RF engineering tools and software (e.g., Atoll,TEMS, Actix, MapInfo).
• In-depth understanding of wireless network architecture, including small cell systems, backhaul, and network integration.
• Solid knowledge of E911 compliance standards and procedures.
• Familiarity with cellular technologies such as LTE, 5G, and VoLTE.
