Job Description:

This Position is with the Video Technology & Engineering Department. The candidate will be integrating and testing IP video delivery services and features on a world class network in a fully furnished internetworking and test lab facility. They will be working with a team of architects and specialist to develop and deliver the latest IP video services. The increasingly competitive IP video services industry ensures that the work will be innovative and challenging.

Job Logistics:

• Normal Working hours: 37.5 hours per week between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Mon.-Fri.; Work start and finish times are flexible.
• May be required to provide 24x7 support on a rotational basis with other team members
• Overtime may be required in order to meet deadlines.
• There is potential to hire full-time./ Flex hours, possible to work from remote - Work times are flexible with team agreement.
• Working location: Saint John, NB

Responsibilities:

• Set-up IP video test environments and configure services for testing
• Execute test cases in the lab to verify successful integration of customer premise equipment, middleware & network components
• IP video testing on fibre, copper, satellite, cellular and cable TV systems
• Conduct trouble analysis and develop resolution hypothesis
• Formulate experiments and execute to validate assumptions
• Document and communicate testing results via web applications.
• Generate problem reports, changes requests, and service enhancement proposals.

Skill/Experience/ Requirements:

• Critical thinking - ability to logically think through problems to determine root cause
• Basic knowledge of computers and troubleshooting procedures
• Linux/BASH scripting and/or Python scripting, with good knowledge of XSL
• UI based automation testing.

Education/Certificates Required:

• Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Software) or Computer Science degree
