Job Description
Since in Agile mode, the Business and Product team works closely with the Agile implementation team to continuously review priorities and refine the Backlog. The Scrum Master will also offer support, workshops and training that will improve the entire operational process relating to the refinement and clarification of requirements such as the establishment of a Continuous Refinement Process, Discovery & High-Level Grooming sessions and “Just in Time” Architecture & requirements collection. This is part of our standard successful pattern implementation and approach.
Responsibilities :
At the Team Level :
- The Scrum Master will drive the Agile & Scrum Framework, their respective Agile roles & responsibilities while increasing their Agile skills & level of maturity.
- Help Bell’s team produce more reliable and predictable estimates, that you can count on
- Have better visibility on the real capacity of your team
- Increase visibility on the progress of the team
- Increase the quality of requirements and their level of understanding through the establishment of a continuous refinement process
- Adopt an approach allowing the effective prioritization of product backlog and data-driven decision-making
- Have a rigorous operational process, allowing better chances of success
- Provide Team and Program Metrics to measure velocity, increase visibility and overall predictability.
- Understand and apply the Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD) and Implement relative estimation techniques (Relative Estimation Scale)
At the Product Owner Level
- Help the Bell’s PO in the definition and communication of the vision and the Roadmap in collaboration with the stakeholders
- Implementation of a continuous refinement mechanism that ensures the proper breakdown of initiatives, Epics and key user stories
- Coach Bell’s POs and the team in writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria in accordance with the Definition of Ready and Done (DoR and DoD).
- Prioritize and refine the Product Backlog to always have at least one sprint worth of ready stories
- Clarification of current and upcoming work in the backlog
- Maximize the value of items delivered to customers and stakeholders
- Translate Users and Stakeholders' needs into Epics, Stories, Assumptions and Acceptance Criteria that are clear, concise and understood by all.
At the Program & PI Level
- Understand and implement a continuous refining process (Discoveries, High-level Grooming, & Just in Time Architecture Requirements collection)
- Foster visualization of progress using Kanban boards and Readiness States through Continuous Refinement activities at all levels (from ideation to delivery).
- How to better prepare for PI Planning (Increase visibility on readiness state)
- Just in time Architecture, Refinement of Epics & Key Stories
- High-level estimation techniques in line with team velocity and capacity
- Introduce Capacity Planning techniques at the Program Level
- Portfolio & Epics Prioritization and Business Value definition
- Managing & harmonizing Demand with Capacity
