Experience with VoLTE optimization evaluating KPIs, troubleshooting RAN issues using NetScout TrueCall and Iris Spectrum Analyzer, identify CORE issues with NetScout nGeniusON
Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer II is responsible for conducting highly complex network system administration, design and optimization engineering activities to maximize network performance and capacity for LTE and CDMA. Should have experience with VoLTE optimization evaluating KPIs, troubleshooting RAN issues using NetScout TrueCall and Iris Spectrum Analyzer, identify CORE issues with NetScout nGeniusONE, SINR verification, drive testing, post processing including layer 3 analysis, evaluation of Key Performance Indicators, and proficiency with traffic and mobility management. Should have experience with Operational Support Systems (OSS) including ENM/AMOS (Ericsson), NETACT (Nokia), and LSM (Samsung) and the support of multi-band and multi-vendor deployment and optimization of cell sites in 800 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2.5 GHz Bands. Must be able to work effectively with others and have good interpersonal skills. Must be highly organized and work well under pressure. Comply with Sprint’s Driver Safety Policy and guidelines. Must be eligible to work in the US. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years related work experience with LTE, including experience with a wireless infrastructure provider and/or operator. Direct experience providing optimization for VoLTE performance and capacity with NetScout TrueCall, nGeniusONE and Iris Session Analyzer (ISA), including solid drive testing experience and post processing. Experience with RF related tools: Spectrum Analyzer, XCAL, TEMS, WindCatcher, Atoll, MapInfo, and Google Earth. RF Engineer II is responsible for conducting moderately complex network system administration and design engineering activities to maximize network connectivity and capacity. Performs engineering functions related to interconnect equipment and facilities, signaling systems, switches and traffic. Duties may include: Create/Complete SCIP Approval, RFDS, NST, CIQ forms to support new and existing site designs and. Perform site walks/drive tests for pre-construction SINR verification,support new and existing site designs and upgrades. Needs to be experienced with Atoll, MapInfo and site selection basics. Work experience with performing cost justification studies; planning, ordering and deploying network components; forecasting network/equipment needs and recommending appropriate configurations; resolving complex maintenance problems; monitoring traffic flows to ensure call delivery optimization; and providing technical expertise for less experienced engineers. Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent. 2-4 years related work experience. Must be eligible to work in the US.
