RF Performance Optimization Engineer with VoLTE and LTE experience to assist with RAN Network troubleshooting and Cluster optimization
This position is REMOTE WITHIN the Syracuse market. Candidate must be willing to relocate to Syracuse market and be competent to work independently/ remote WITHIN THAT market. They need to be located in the Syracuse area or east of Syracuse to be within 30 minutes drive. Position: RF Performance Optimization Engineer with VoLTE and LTE experience to assist with RAN Network troubleshooting and Cluster optimization Technical Background: Good understanding RAN VoLTE and LTE RF Parameter settings including Traffic Management strategies, Carrier Aggregation, TTI Bundling, etc Good understanding of RAN VoLTE & LTE architecture and basic understanding of Core architecture Understanding of Call Flow and Failure Types in VoLTE & LTE networks Understanding of eNodeB & RRH equipment plus hardware failure types Skills: VoLTE & LTE Layer 3 Analysis including call/session failure analysis Ability to troubleshoot RAN VoLTE and LTE failure types and propose appropriate solutions including parameter & antenna configuration optimization KPI Monitoring and Trending. Identification and troubleshooting Top Offenders to resolution. Nokia experience preferred but will consider other vendor experience Tools: NetAct (Nokia) WindCatcher TrueCall Iris X-Cal & PCTel & TEMS MapInfo MS Office Suite Driver's license required RF Engineer III is responsible for conducting highly complex network system administration and design engineering activities to maximize network connectivity and capacity. Performs engineering functions related to interconnect equipment and facilities, signaling systems, switches and traffic. Duties may include: Create/Complete SCIP Approval, RFDS, NST, CIQ forms to support new and existing site designs and. Perform site walks/drive tests for pre-construction SINR verification, support new and existing site designs and upgrades. Needs to be experienced with Atoll, MapInfo and site selection basics. Work experience with performing cost justification studies; planning, ordering and deploying network components; forecasting network/equipment needs and recommending appropriate configurations; resolving complex maintenance problems; monitoring traffic flows to ensure call delivery optimization; and providing technical expertise for less experienced engineers. Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering or equivalent. 5 years related work experience. Must be eligible to work in the US.
